Makers Club FAQs
The Makers Club is a program supplying DIY leather craft kits at a discounted price to members who run their own hand-made leather goods businesses. By taking care of the designs, sourcing, and preparation, crafters can save money and focus more of their time on creating unique ready-to-use leather goods for their customers.
Discount starts at 7% off standard DIY Kit prices for orders over 5 units and increases up to 22% off based on annual purchase volumes.
Additionally, we offer a further 4% off for purchasing without needles, thread, and other supplies that makers often have on hand.

Yes. The Makers Club was created to help people sell their own leather goods through their own businesses.
Regulations vary from country to country and regionally. As such, we recommend you checking with your local authorities to confirm the requirements of selling your own leather goods before doing so.
We know that all businesses are at different stages of their growth. For that reason we offer packages without GST (if you are registered for GST) and with GST.
As we offer larger discounts for Makers Club members, shipping will be charged for all orders at lower volume prices. However, if you have your own courier you can bill directly to them.
No. J Tanner Pty Ltd will act as a supplier to any Makers Club member, with all business responsibilities for the sale of the finished products being borne solely by the member.
J Tanner will retain the rights of both designs and members chosen to supply with DIY kits.
We recommend anyone joining the Makers Club to already have basic experience with our DIY kits.
Yes! When you become a Makers Club Member you will have access to use our official imagery.
However, we do recommend using your own imagery if you are customising any of our products so that your customers can see what the finished item will look like.
Absolutely. With a Makers Club membership, you will have access to priority support should you have any questions about our kits or need urgent order support.
We often have customers that visit JTanner.com.au and that love our designs but don't want to make the product themselves, or are looking for customisations. The Ready-Made Store aims to connect those customers to talented crafters like yourself in order to offer them high-quality leather goods.
No. Makers Club members are able to sell J Tanner designs by offering a crafting made-to-order service.
J Tanner reserves the rights to all designs.
All DIY kits sold through the Makers Club can only be resold by members as finished products after crafting.
However, we do offer wholesale pricing for stockists. If you are interested in retailing our DIY kits at your existing store, please send us a message and we'd be happy to share more details!
